Obama and his staff were driving through a rural part of Maryland when he saw a young girl sitting under an umbrella with a sign that said Free Kittens. Obama asked the driver to pull over so he could talk to the young girl. Obama got out of the car, walked up to the young girl and said, “I understand you have some kittens.
The young girl said, “I sure do. There are five of them, and they’re all Democrats. Do you want one?"
Obama said, “not right now, but maybe on my way back to DC I’ll stop by and pick one up since they’re all Democrats." So they got back in their car and drove off.
A few days later on his way back to DC Obama saw the young girl in the same spot still trying to give the kittens away. This time Obama had a photographer and a journalist with him. He thought this would make a great promotional shot. So they stopped the car, walked over to the young girl, then Obama said to her, “Hello again. Do you still have the kittens?"
The young girl answered, “I sure do.”
Obama said, “I understand they are all Democrats”
The young girl said, “Nope they are all Republicans!”
Obama said, “last time you said they were all Democrats. What happened?”
The young girl said, “They finally opened their eyes."
